The California Dreams Backpacker’s Hostel has an atmosphere that is welcoming and personal. Guests tell us the feeling here is like visiting friends rather than impersonal as some larger city hostels can be.

The California Dreams Backpacker’s Hostel is a brand new spot for travelers on a budget to stay in San Diego. Inaugurated on January 2012, the hostel offers new and clean accommodations, with sharing bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen facility plus a patio area and living room for extra activities.

Located at 743 / 747 Emerald St, at the most prestigious block of Pacific Beach, right at the beach and just a block for all the fun in Pacific Beach, California Dreams Backpacker’s Hostel is a the perfect place for surfers and all other kind of ocean lovers.

You can easily walk everywhere in PB, the Crystal Pier is only two blocks, so is Garnet Ave, with all great options of dinning, shopping and of course parting!!! Enjoy the famous Pacific Beach Board walk, with its unique characters, shops and stands.

Rent a bike and stroll all the way to the Belmont Park, where you can ride San Diego’s oldest wood roller coaster and enjoy many more attractions. But if you are looking for other kind o fun you’ll find it at the Wave House, where you can learn to ride a never-ending wave and become a pro flow board rider.

You will NOT need a car if you are staying with us, besides all the great convenience of our neighborhood, we are also just half a block from all the bus lines in PB, from here you can go to Old Town, Downtown, La Jolla, all the malls and much more.

Of course that the best of our location is the beach and the surf, no need to carry your umbrellas and boards on your back, we are located at the beach. Grab your board and check the surf, get ready for an awesome day.

Our mission at California Dreams Backpacker’s Hostel is to offer you a clean, safe and relaxed environment so our guests can enjoy all the great “So Cal” life style and come back to a nice and quiet place to Dream about tomorrow’s new adventures…

But for those who want to keep the “Dream” alive, Pacific Beach offers over 100 bars and clubs that are guaranteed fun.

Because of our small size, guests and staff here really get to know each other. In the hostel, there’s a lot of socializing, playing games, music swapping, etc. We also frequently go out with the guests to see sights, surf and other fun stuff.
